Sabadell is set to host a Holy Week filled with diverse activities for all audiences, including family-friendly events, sports competitions, religious celebrations, and concerts, despite the local theaters being closed for the holiday.

Even though the city's theaters are closed for the holidays, Sabadell has organized an extensive program for those staying in the city during Holy Week. The proposals cater to both children and adults, ensuring a variety of leisure and cultural options throughout the week.
Sports enthusiasts can enjoy the SWIT CUP, the world's largest women's youth football tournament, and the CE Sabadell match. Liturgical and popular culture events will take place on Good Friday, with activities scheduled in the Centre, Can Puiggener, and Ca n’Oriac.
For children, several workshops have been planned. On Tuesday, March 31, the Fundació 1859 Caixa Sabadell will host the 'Busquem els ous de Pasqua' workshop at the Espai Natura de la masia de Can Deu. On the same day, the Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont will offer 'El Món dels Fòssils'. On Wednesday, April 1, participants can join 'Fem de Paleontòlegs', and on Thursday, April 2, 'Com vivien els dinosaures dels Pirineus?', both activities focusing on paleontology.
The SWIT CUP will solidify Sabadell's position as the host of this significant women's grassroots football event, featuring over 168 teams and 2,400 players. The tournament, held from April 2 to 5, will include prominent figures like Sabadell-born footballer Aïcha Camara from FC Barcelona and renowned international teams such as PSG.
Good Friday will be a key day with several liturgical events. At 9 AM, the interfaith Via Crucis of the Centre will begin from the Parròquia de la Puríssima. In the afternoon, starting around 7:00 PM, the Andalusian-rooted procession will take place in Can Puiggener, accompanied by the Banda de Música de Sabadell. Concurrently, at 7 PM, the Hermandad de la Virgen de la Fuensanta will organize the Via Crucis in Ca n’Oriac.
The cultural agenda will be complemented by a musical 'vermut' on Saturday at 12:30 PM at the Jardinets, featuring local groups. On Sunday, history enthusiasts can visit the exterior of the Torre de Can Feu at 10 AM, and at 11:30 AM, the Agrupació Cultural Folklòrica Sabadell Sardanista will organize a sardana dance with the Cobla Sabadell. Finally, the quartet Bad Decisions will offer an American music concert at La Capella de Can Gambús on Sunday at 12:30 PM.
In sports, CE Sabadell will host Betis Deportivo at the Nova Creu Alta on Sunday at 6:15 PM. Ferran Costa's team will aim to maintain their leadership in the Primera RFEF in the final stretch of the season, with the goal of returning to professional football.
