The city of Sant Cugat del Vallès concluded its Carnival 2026 celebrations this Wednesday, February 18, with the symbolic return of the town's baton to the local government.

The character known as the Gall handed back authority to the councillor for culture, Núria Escamilla, at the City Hall. Although the start of the week was hampered by rain near the Monastery, organizers from the Carnival Commission reported high attendance at the main parades and dances.

"Once we started on Friday, everything went smoothly. The Gitanes dance was spectacular, and the parade had great participation."
