The application window, open until July 15, 2026, aims to help individuals and households with specific income levels maintain their primary residence. Applications can be submitted online through the municipal electronic office or in person at the Citizen Attention Office.
The initial budget of 110,000 euros may be increased depending on the number of applications received and budgetary availability. The aid is intended for owners, usufructuaries, or tenants registered in Sant Cugat since January 1, 2026, with additional requirements for tenants regarding property tax (IBI).
The aid amount is calculated based on the household's annual income, the number of members, and the property tax quota. For 2026, the general income limit is 32,715.41 euros annually, extended to 52,152.22 euros for single-parent families. The subsidized property tax percentages range from 45% to 90%, capped at 500 euros for most cases.
The program includes specific measures for single-parent families and enhanced aid for households with individuals recognized as having a disability of 33% or higher, applying the next higher aid bracket or percentage.
Key requirements include continuous residency registration, being the homeowner or tenant, not exceeding income limits, a property cadastral value not exceeding 400,000 euros, and being up-to-date with tax obligations and municipal debts.
