The renovation project, to be approved in the February plenary session, involves a total investment of 12.9 million euros. The facility, closed since July 2019 due to structural issues, will be managed by the public company Egarvia and executed in four phases.
“"It is one of the most significant projects of the last decade in the city and will bring an important change for the Center and Terrassa as a whole."
The new underground parking will offer 219 spaces, including charging points for electric vehicles and areas for motorcycles and bicycles. The main entrance will be located on the Rambla, aiming to reduce surface traffic pressure in the city center.
Beyond the underground infrastructure, the plan includes creating a new public square at the Portal de Sant Roc surface. This urban intervention, budgeted at two million euros, seeks to transform the area into a civic meeting point with shaded areas and social spaces.
