After a week of extreme temperatures, Terrassa is experiencing a slight reprieve with more moderate temperatures forecast for Saturday and Sunday.

The city of Terrassa will enjoy a break after a week marked by extreme heat. The meteorological forecast for this Saturday, July 10th, and Sunday, July 11th, points to a "moderate drop in temperatures," according to Ramon Navarro, a collaborator for MónTerrassa and member of Meteoclimatic.
On Saturday, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 33 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 23 degrees Celsius. These same figures will be repeated on Sunday. Despite this temporary improvement, it is warned that a new increase in temperatures is expected for next Monday.
During this week, the highest temperature was recorded on Wednesday, July 8th, reaching between 38 and 39 degrees Celsius depending on the neighborhood, particularly in northern areas like Can Boada, Poble Nou – Zona Olímpica, and Sant Pere. Nights have been tropical, with minimums not dropping below 22 degrees Celsius, reaching up to 25-26 degrees Celsius on Thursday. Humidity has been very low, accompanied by light southeasterly winds.
The forecast for the region includes similar maximum and minimum temperatures in nearby locations: in Matadepera, Vacarisses, and Viladecavalls, maximums of 32-33 degrees Celsius and minimums of 21-22 degrees Celsius are expected. In Castellbisbal, maximums could reach 35 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Service of Catalonia warns that, despite the weekend's drop, a definitive respite cannot be declared, as warm conditions will persist. It is considered a "brief setback" that will not last long, with a new rise anticipated towards next Tuesday and Wednesday, when maximums could approach 40 degrees Celsius.
