The Terrassa Municipal Police processed a total of 67,302 speeding tickets between January and August 2025, averaging 279 fines every single day in the city.

Enforcement activity in Terrassa saw a significant 34.65% increase compared to the same period last year. This rise of 17,317 sanctions is partly explained by several radars being in a testing phase during 2024. Currently, the city operates seven fixed speed cameras in strategic locations such as Avinguda del Vallès and Carretera de Matadepera.
The radar on Avinguda del Vallès has been particularly controversial. In May 2025, the local ombudsman, Mustapha Ben el Fassi, urged the Terrassa City Council to improve signage following citizen complaints regarding the device's visibility and legality.
Beyond speeding, municipal cameras detected 9,627 violations for running red lights and mobile phone use. Additionally, police have ramped up inspections of Personal Mobility Vehicles (VMPs), issuing approximately 1,700 fines to electric scooter users throughout the year.
