The meeting took place in an emblematic space that, despite being located in Vallès Occidental, symbolizes the expansion of this lineage originating from the Pallars mountains. The event served not only as a personal meeting point but also as an exercise in recovering family historical memory.
Torre Castellarnau, which formerly belonged to the municipality of Terrassa and today gives its name to an urbanization and houses a restaurant, was the setting where descendants from as far away as Tenerife or Argentina were able to connect with the branches that still maintain a direct link with the ancestral homes of the Pyrenees.
The day featured a broad representation of families descended from the historic houses of Pallars and Alt Urgell, which were centers of power and society in the area for centuries. Among the attendees were representatives from various houses such as Casa el Coix d'Alins, Casa Nasi and Casa Cerdà d’Àreu, Casa Riart d'Esterri d’Àneu, Casa Roya d'Espot, Mas de Sarroca de Buseu (Baix Pallars), Casa Coll de Perves (Alta Ribagorça), Casa Lobató de Gessa (Aran) and Casa Serni de Castellciutat (Alt Urgell).
One of the most notable moments was the announcement of the publication of the book Magnats del Pirineu (Bresca Editorial, 2026). The author, a historian from Terrassa, has dedicated fifteen years to researching the trajectory of this lineage, documented since the Middle Ages. The work, presented by the editor, explores the fundamental role the family played in the social and territorial configuration of the mountain regions, extending its influence from Vall Ferrera towards Andorra, Cerdanya, and Solsonès, and projecting itself to Tarragonès or Empordà.
