The accident took place when the driver left the vehicle to open a garage door. For reasons still under investigation by the Local Police, the van's brakes failed, causing the vehicle to roll down the slope with three passengers inside.

Emergency services and Local Police officers arrived quickly at the scene to treat the victims. The passengers suffered various contusions, and one individual is reported to have a potential hip fracture following the five-meter drop.
