The Government of Catalonia and the Comuns party have agreed to study the implementation of a tramway to connect Terrassa and Sabadell with the UAB university campus this February.

This proposal emerges as a more rational and cost-effective alternative to the initial FGC rail link project. The planned route would mainly run along the N-150 highway, serving the western side of Sabadell.
The tram project represents a significant update to the Metropolitan Region Territorial Plan. This decision effectively replaces the Horta rail tunnel project, prioritizing urban mobility within the Vallès Occidental region.
