The Rodalies train drivers' strike destabilized mobility this Monday, February 9, causing long queues of commuters at the Fabra i Puig station heading towards Terrassa and Sabadell.

The strike day, called by the train drivers' collective, generated great uncertainty among regular travelers. From early morning, passengers waiting for service towards the Vallès Occidental had to switch from train to bus due to the cancellation of numerous services.

"Despite knowing about the strike call, I was informed at the station that there would be no trains until the afternoon."

The disruption was particularly noticeable for students and workers. Student Helena Miralles, who travels to Terrassa, regretted that, despite understanding the union demands, the strike "negatively affects the rest of the users."
Other users, such as Dídac Maroto, who commutes to Sabadell, had already opted for the bus months earlier, considering it more reliable despite being a longer journey. This day of protest coincided with the alternative road service due to the major R3 line closure, which allowed some travelers to manage the situation better.
