The Catalan Meteorological Service has issued a strong wind warning for the Vallès Occidental region, effective from Friday, January 30, until Sunday, February 1, posing a moderate risk in the Terrassa area.

The hazard warning for strong wind gusts, issued by the Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya, is active from the afternoon of Friday, January 30, until the early morning of Sunday, February 1. In the Vallès Occidental region, the initial risk is moderate (1 out of 6), although it may increase, as neighboring regions face a higher danger level of 3 out of 6.
The most severe period is expected during Saturday, specifically between six in the morning and six in the afternoon. The wind will blow from the west, being light or moderate in the western half of the country, but stronger in the southern half, in Ponent, and at high altitudes in the Pyrenees, with very strong gusts until noon.
In the rest of Catalonia, the wind will be light and variable, predominantly from the south. Notably, the Tramuntana wind will affect the Empordà, being moderate with strong or very strong gusts north of Cap de Creus.
Regarding temperatures, the presence of strong winds will cause a lower thermal sensation. Minimum temperatures will remain similar to the previous week, but maximums will not rise as much. Forecasts indicate clearer skies, offering a brief respite before precipitation returns next week.
This wind episode follows an exceptionally rainy January. Meteorological stations in Terrassa have recorded unusual figures, all exceeding 100mm. The station at Plaça de l'Aigua stands out with 138mm, and Sant Pere with 122mm.
