The City Council of Montcada i Reixac begins this Tuesday, October 13th, the renovation works for the sewer network on Doctor Buxó Street, a project that will last until December with an investment of 133,699.63 euros.

The initiative, part of the municipal Sewer Master Plan, aims to improve the network's functionality, reduce the risk of breakdowns, and facilitate maintenance.
The work will involve replacing 123 meters of the current collector with a new 400-millimeter diameter polyethylene pipe. The project also includes renovating 20 property connections and six drains, as well as constructing two new inspection manholes.
The intervention will require the demolition and subsequent repaving of the affected road section, thereby enhancing the network's operational capacity and reducing the risk of blockages and breaks.
The total investment for the works amounts to 133,699.63 euros, funded through the sewer tax. The construction is scheduled to take place between October and December 2026.
The City Council has apologized for any inconvenience the works may cause, as road traffic will be cut off and parking prohibited during the execution period, although access to driveways will be maintained.
Furthermore, the school's Parents' Association has requested that during the works, neighborhood vehicle circulation be avoided to facilitate student movement during school drop-off and pick-up times.
