The Centro Aragonés in Rubí held the presentation of the 21st Santa Águeda Awards on Friday, recognizing the work of four prominent women in the social, cultural, business, and sports sectors of the city.

The award recipients for 2026 were Carme Pomareda, for her work at La Xarxa d'Espectacles de Rubí; the writer Sandra Cadenas, author of the novel Cadenas de libertad; Maria del Valle Jiménez, manager of the bakery El Racó del Pa; and the young athlete Martina San José, from Club Voleibol Rubí.
These awards, which are now a consolidated tradition in the city, aim to highlight the female contribution in different key sectors of Rubí society, from culture to business and sports.
During the ceremony, hosted by Núria Julià, an emotional tribute was paid to Francisco García, president of the Centro Aragonés since 2004, for his long dedication to the organization. The event concluded with a jota singing performance by the Rondalla Aneto and refreshments featuring typical Aragonese products.
