A show created for the occasion reviewed the building's long history, featuring the participation of the Esbart Dansaire, the dance company Vuit Temps, professors from the Escola de Música Pere Burés, and local actor Enric Majó.
“"We had a dream: to reopen this space, the Casino, and for it to once again be a central space for culture and social life in the city. Today, December 13, 2025, it has come true."
Since its creation in 1928, the building housed the Agricultural Chamber, the CNT, and anti-fascist militias during the Civil War. During the dictatorship, it was renamed Casino Español and later combined traditional activities, such as the Sant Antoni dance, with concerts and even a nightclub.
The recovery of the space began in 2016 when the Rubí City Council and the Casino Español Association reached an agreement for municipal acquisition. The comprehensive rehabilitation project formally started in 2020, culminating in the opening to the public in December 2025.
