The Mossos d'Esquadra have dismantled a criminal network specializing in the illegal trade of mobile phones, leading to the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of 82,350 euros and 69 devices allegedly stolen in Sabadell and L'Hospitalet.

The police operation, which also identified four other individuals, began in the spring of 2025. The investigation started with three searches of private homes, leading to the initial arrest of two people and the identification of other involved parties through the analysis of their phone data.
Subsequently, agents determined that two properties in Viladecans were being used as logistical points for the illegal trade of devices. With judicial authorization, these apartments were raided on April 15, where approximately seventy stolen mobile phones and over 82,000 euros in cash were found.
During the searches, it was discovered that the members of the scheme were hiding the mobile phones in empty milk cartons to avoid detection. The arrested individuals, aged between 22 and 36, are accused of receiving stolen goods, fraud, and belonging to a criminal group. The identified individuals are also implicated in the same offenses.
