Catalan Government attributes delay in Can Llong flats delivery to cost adjustment

Incasòl issued the final work certificate in September, but the final settlement with the contracting company required additional time.

The Catalan Government justifies the delay in delivering 34 affordable rental flats built by Incasòl in Can Llong, Sabadell, due to the adjustment of the final construction cost with the contractor.

Sources from Territori i Habitatge indicated that, although the works were highly advanced by the end of 2024 and nearly finished by early 2025, the final liquidation process for the executed works caused the delay.

The ordinary process of final liquidation of the executed works has been followed, which concluded with an adjustment of the final amount compared to the initially awarded budget, within the usual margins for works of this type.

This process required the necessary time to reach an agreement on the final cost of the work between the awarded company and the Government. The future tenants, mostly young people, have been waiting for almost a year to move into these affordable rental homes.
According to data from Habitatge, the final work certificate was issued at the end of September and was approved on November 12. In the same month, the license of first occupation was requested from the Sabadell City Council, and the municipal inspection visit took place on December 12. The definitive qualification of the homes is currently underway and is expected to be issued soon.
