Primary school teacher José Morales Sánchez, a native of Sabadell, has turned his passion for knowledge into television success, notably participating and achieving five wins on the quiz show Atrapa’m si pots.

The trajectory of José Morales Sánchez, aged thirty-two, is not accidental. This teacher from Sabadell developed his curiosity from a young age, influenced by his grandmother and the program Saber y Ganar. Despite having lived abroad, he maintains a strong connection to his hometown, where reading has always been a fundamental value in his family.

"Since I was very young, my grandmother would put on Saber y Ganar every day."

His television debut began with El Cazador, an experience that was a “shock” since his partner signed him up without telling him. Although he did not win, this first contact in Madrid gave him the necessary momentum to continue. He described this contest as the toughest, as he had to face “authentic beasts of knowledge” like Erundino.

"I ask my students to ask me questions, especially about current affairs."

The most rewarding experience was on Atrapa’m si pots, where he participated in 23 programs and managed to win the final prize five times. Morales highlights the human factor of the show and the personal evolution involved in moving from initial nerves to confidence in front of the camera. His latest adventure was Salta!, filmed in Holland, where he enjoyed the real-time, uncut format.
To combat nerves, Morales confesses resorting to a lime blossom tea the night before filming. His preparation method includes interacting with his students at Escola Roureda, whom he asks to quiz him. Finally, his advice for future contestants is clear: “People should sign up without fear. The worst thing that can happen is not winning. If you have fun, you have already succeeded.”
