Actor Pol López, recently awarded the Gaudí Award 2023 for the film Suro, returns to the TAEVSC stage with La mà (The Hand), a black comedy by the acclaimed playwright Martin McDonagh. The play, translated by Martí Sales and directed by Pau Carrió, will be performed on Friday, February 6, and features a cast including Albert Prat, Mia Sala-Patau, and Soribah Ceesay.
“"It is a black comedy about revenge, obsession, and chaos that demonstrates the strength of a globally recognized author with pivotal works."
Furthermore, musician and promoter Guillem Jubany continues to organize the "Jazz en viu" (Live Jazz) cycle in the TAEVSC cafeteria. Since 2014, these intimate concerts have emulated the atmosphere of classic jazz clubs, offering performances on Sundays starting at 9 PM.
The program, which has featured figures such as David Mengual, Marco Mezquida, and Horacio Fumero, offers two concerts monthly until May. The next performance will feature Marc Mirtalta (marimba) and Christos Rafalides (vibraphone). These events, with affordable prices and a maximum capacity of 100 people, strengthen the city's cultural offerings.
These proposals are part of the launch of the 34th season of the Centres Culturals de Sant Cugat, which includes more than 55 diverse proposals. Additionally, Carnival will kick off on Thursday, February 12, with the traditional Ball dels Estirats in the Plaça de Sant Pere, where the Gall del cimbori will descend to symbolically take power from Mayor Josep Maria Vallès.
