The Club Baseball Vallès organized two open days on February 8 and 22 at the Sant Francesc fields in Sant Cugat del Vallès, aiming to introduce baseball and softball to local children.
This initiative sought to encourage the practice of these Olympic sports among young people, offering them the opportunity to experience them firsthand. The activity is part of the club's commitment to promoting baseball and softball throughout the Vallès Occidental region.
Currently, Club Baseball Vallès has a presence in several municipalities such as Sabadell, Terrassa, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Cerdanyola del Vallès, and Barberà del Vallès, and is actively working to expand the practice of these disciplines in schools as well.

"Right now we have four teams playing in the Catalan Baseball and Softball Federation. We were founded in 2022 in Sabadell and currently have U-10, U-12, U-14 categories and women's softball. It is important to highlight something very important about this sport, that from the ages of 5 to 60, we always strive for mixed teams, boys and girls can participate in this sport."
Anibal Vazquez, the club's social media manager, explained that the entity was founded in 2022 in Sabadell and already has teams in U-10, U-12, U-14 categories, and women's softball, all competing in the Catalan Baseball and Softball Federation. He emphasized the importance of inclusion, as the teams are mixed from ages 5 to 60.

"The important thing here is for children to come and participate and learn. And for them to see the necessary progressions to then become part of a club, which is what we want in Sant Cugat."
For his part, Salis Alvarez, also a member of Baseball Vallès, highlighted the value of children's learning and participation. The open days were well received, and the club is optimistic about the future, aiming to acquire its own facilities to consolidate baseball in the cities of Vallès.
