The Esbart Sant Cugat inaugurates the exhibition 'A (r)relats. Cinquanta anys d’Esbart Sant Cugat' on January 30 at the Casa de Cultura Exhibition Hall to review its collective history.

The exhibition 'A (r)relats. Cinquanta anys d’Esbart Sant Cugat' invites visitors to immerse themselves in the trajectory of the popular dance entity, emphasizing the experiences of the people who have participated over half a century. The show, which opens on January 30 at 6:30 p.m., will be open until February 21.
The core of the exhibition lies in an exhaustive compilation of oral testimonies, complemented by emblematic costume pieces and unpublished audiovisual material. This combination allows tracing the collective history of the Esbart since its foundation.
The exhibition curator, Mireia Porqueras, with the assistance of Núria Nebot, has designed a unique route. The history is divided into five thematic blocks: the foundation, the venue, the dance school, the dance corps, and the costumes.
The physical structure of the space reflects the theme of dance. Each section is separated by black fabrics simulating the stage “legs” (cametes), forcing visitors to follow a choreographed “in-out” path, a characteristic step of Catalan popular dance.
