The Minister of Agriculture, Òscar Ordeig, announced that the lifting of restrictions applies to municipalities located in the perimeter between 6 and 20 kilometers from the outbreak origin. This area, considered low-risk, once again allows access to the natural environment, the resumption of sports and leisure activities, and agricultural and forestry work.
The resolution, published in the DOGC this Friday, also authorizes hunters to conduct roundups in the 6 to 20-kilometer zone under specific premises to intensify wild boar captures. So far, 103 wild boars killed by the disease have been found within the high-risk zone.
“"We have also introduced the prohibition of feeding wild boars, which might seem obvious but we had to do it, and also the prohibition of not manipulating or removing biological control containment elements being used by experts."
Regarding the high-risk zone (0 to 6 kilometers), which includes 12 municipalities, all restrictions are maintained, prohibiting entry into the natural environment. The third delimited zone is the Collserola Natural Park, which covers nine municipalities, including Sant Cugat, Montcada i Reixac, and Cerdanyola.
In Collserola, access to the natural environment is prohibited between ten at night and six in the morning. During the day (6 AM to 10 PM), access and activities are limited to groups of no more than ten people to avoid crowds, although individual and small group activities are permitted.
