The Sant Cugat City Council begins the deployment of the second phase of mobile waste collection platforms in the center and improves the door-to-door system in Valldoreix starting on February 2.

The city center incorporates new mobile collection points on Cerdanyola Avenue and Coll Square. This system aims to reduce the permanent presence of containers on public roads and keep spaces tidier.
The platforms will be installed from Monday to Saturday, operating between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. They will have containers for all fractions: organic, packaging, paper and cardboard, glass, and residual waste. Once the service is withdrawn, the space will be left free and clean.
In Valldoreix, where the door-to-door system was implemented 15 years ago, the modifications seek to make the service more practical for citizens. The calendar is adjusted to include service on holidays (Monday to Saturday) and packaging collection is expanded.
The most significant improvement is the incorporation of new chipped bins. This technology will allow for more efficient and transparent waste management, opening the door to future systems that reward correct separation by citizens.
