Thousands of residents filled the streets of Sant Cugat on January 5 to welcome the Three Wise Men, who began their parade with a modified itinerary and a newly introduced guiding star.

The royal entourage, consisting of Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar, arrived in Sant Cugat del Vallès via the Rabassada mounted on camels, despite the cold temperatures. The route, which started around 5 p.m., culminated in Plaça d'Octavià, where Their Majesties received the magical key that allows them access to all homes.
One of the main novelties this year was the start of the parade at Gràcia Avenue, a change designed by the Culture Department to better distribute the audience. The parade began during daylight and, as it grew darker, the lighting effects of the procession, guided by a large, newly created star, gained prominence.

"Gràcia Avenue is a wide road that allowed us to distribute the attending public so they could better appreciate the floats."

Núria Escamilla · Culture Councilor
As is tradition, the procession was preceded by Muxinach, the lantern bearer responsible for guiding the Kings through the city. Furthermore, the adapted section for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) was maintained at the end of the Rambla del Celler, offering a quieter environment. After receiving the key, Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar entered the Monastery church to perform the adoration of the Infant Jesus and receive the last letters from the children.
