The visit, coordinated by the municipal Economic Promotion services and part of a technical stay in Catalonia supported by the Servei Públic d’Ocupació de Catalunya (SOC), aimed to foster knowledge exchange between European local administrations.
The Swedish technicians learned about the functioning of the municipality's Economic Promotion services and several ongoing projects. Subsequently, they visited the Escola Municipal de Persones Adultes l’Olivera to discover La Llançadora, the municipal service for labor guidance, advice, and support.
This service offers comprehensive and intergenerational (360º) guidance to individuals from the age of 13, tailored to their needs, interests, and goals. It also works with families, minor centers, high schools, and vulnerable individuals, addressing aspects such as training guidance, job searching, accreditation of work experience, or study homologation.
A key strength of La Llançadora is its transversal coordination across various municipal services, including Education, Youth, Employment, Social Welfare, Housing, Feminisms, and Municipal Police.
During the 2025-2026 academic year, the service assisted 225 individuals (195 aged 16-64 and over 30 students from the Escola Municipal de Persones Adultes l’Olivera), conducting 720 advisory sessions and 1,923 follow-up contacts. Results include 25 individuals finding employment, 5 validating or homologating studies, and 9 accrediting professional competencies.
