Comprehensive renovation works for Plaça Nova and its surrounding streets in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda began this Wednesday, October 28th, with an investment exceeding 1.28 million euros and an eight-month execution period.

The project, awarded to Arnó Infraestructuras SLU for 1,282,428.89 euros, includes the creation of single-level spaces to improve accessibility and calm traffic. The works affect the square and sections of Montseny, Santa Maria, Sant Pau, and Frederic Soler streets, as well as a small part of Montseny street towards Plaça de la Vila.
This initiative is part of the Municipal Investment Plan by the Santa Perpètua City Council, aiming to promote pedestrian movement and reduce vehicle traffic in the urban center.
The square's renovation will retain a children's play area, featuring a new play structure for ages 0-3, and will include a fixed platform for activities. The kiosk will also be maintained, now relocated to Plaça de la Vila with a new building that will house restrooms.
The project also involves creating a single-level street design on the section of Frederic Soler street between Cristòfol Colom and Pau Casals streets, and on Santa Maria and Sant Pau streets where they meet the Rambla.
