Nearly 600 people participated on Friday, October 2nd, in the central event of Senior Citizens' Week in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, held at the Porxada dels Drets Humans with a snack and dance.

The Santa Perpètua City Council has once again organized a program of activities to celebrate Senior Citizens' Week, coinciding with October 1st, the International Day of Older Persons. Around twenty people took part in a guided tour of the La Florida neighborhood, facilitated by MTIV. A second planned route through the Rambla area, to explore farmhouses and the church, had to be canceled due to rain on September 29th. Two guided tours were also held for the exhibition Ordint Revolucions, led by local artist Iris Garcia.
The mayor of Santa Perpètua, Joan Carles Mingueza, highlighted during the central event "the effort, sacrifice, and struggle of the generation of Perpetuencs who are now over 65 and who have enabled us to have the current social advantages," expressing pride in this generation.
The Councilor for Senior Citizens, Ana Bajo, has positively assessed the 2026 Senior Citizens' Week, despite one activity being canceled due to rain. Ana Bajo expressed great satisfaction with the response from residents over 65 to the activities, stating that "older people are a very committed group and must always be considered and supported".
