To promote public awareness about the importance of immunization, healthcare professionals from the primary care centers have produced an informative video. This initiative aims to encourage participation in the vaccination campaign.
The campaign is part of regular public health efforts to prevent infectious diseases during the autumn and winter months. Participating centers include the CAP la Selva del Camp, CAP Marià Fortuny, CAP Riudoms, and CAP Vandellòs-l'Hospitalet, among others.
Additionally, Montserrat Llort, a Dietitian-Nutritionist at the centers, participated in several conferences organized by CatSalut and the Camp de Tarragona Health Region. These events covered topics such as menopause and the management of complex chronic conditions.
Recently, the CAP de Vandellòs-l’Hospitalet celebrated its 35th anniversary, being renamed Carles Barceló Vernet in recognition of its founder. The official ceremony took place on Wednesday, July 1st.
The Salut Sant Joan centers have also undertaken solidarity initiatives, such as collecting 526 pairs of prescription and sunglasses for the “Reus per Gàmbia” project, expressing gratitude for the donors' generosity.
In recognition of World Healthcare Administration Day, the contributions of administrative staff were acknowledged, highlighting their crucial role in ensuring efficient, organized, and quality patient-centered care. This celebration coincides with family photo sessions of all center staff, marking anniversaries occurring between 2025 and 2026.
Regarding World Oral Health Day, the centers have displayed an infographic in waiting rooms illustrating the connection between oral health and overall bodily health.
Finally, the retirement of Esther Morales, a nurse who began her service at the CAP de Vandellòs-l’Hospitalet in 1991, was announced.
