The Santa Perpètua de Mogoda City Council is installing informative signs to identify the designated dog recreation areas in the municipality, reminding owners of the rules.

The signage includes a map showing the location of these areas, which are distributed across different parts of the municipality. Around the Riera de Caldes, there are three designated sections: the southern bank (from Sardenya street to the bridge under the highway), the northern bank (from the highway bridge to Onze de Setembre avenue), and another section of the southern bank (from Onze de Setembre avenue to the La Florida neighborhood).
Other spaces include the dog park in Central Park, next to Mossèn Jacint Verdaguer avenue; the park between Girona avenue, Estela Ibèrica avenue, and Can Taió promenade; and the final stretch of Tísner Park, near Josep Carner and Les Liles streets.
In these areas, dogs can be off-leash, except for those considered potentially dangerous, which must wear a muzzle and a short leash. In all other parks and municipal spaces, dogs must always be on a leash.
The City Council also reminds residents that dogs must be microchipped and registered in the municipal census, and that owners of special handling dogs must carry the appropriate license.
The Department of Animal Welfare explained that the initiative aims to facilitate coexistence between people and animals in the municipality by identifying recreation zones and reminding the public of the regulations for public spaces.
