The Director of Human Resources at Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa, Isabel Arrieta, participated in January in the University of Barcelona conference on the 20th anniversary of the Healthcare Mediation Project.

The conference ‘+20 years of mediation in health organizations: 2004-2026’, organized by the University of Barcelona (UB), featured Isabel Arrieta, Director of Human Resources and People Management at the Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa (CST). The event, inaugurated by Rector Joan Guàrdia, reviewed the project's trajectory, with the CST being the first entity to incorporate it.

"currently, the Mediation Unit is fully integrated into the philosophy and culture of the CST, as evidenced by the Professional Welfare and Health Plan launched at the CST."

The Healthcare Mediation Unit was incorporated to provide the CST with an additional resource, led by external mediators, to manage conflicts between professionals or between them and users. Furthermore, in 2022, an internal network of mediation referents was created at the CST, consisting of volunteer professionals who collaborate in conflict detection and prevention to foster a healthier organization based on consensus and dialogue.
From 2004 to 2024, the Healthcare Mediation Unit, led by Sara Daví, has conducted 1,956 direct interventions with the entity's professionals. The total impact, including training and awareness activities, reaches 9,086 people. The percentage of explicit agreements in mediation processes is 87%, a figure that rises to 96% when including cases with positive changes as assessed by the parties or mediators.
