The R4 Rodalies line service remains disrupted between Terrassa and Manresa for several days, forcing users to transfer to buses due to an ongoing landslide risk.

The discontent among R4 Rodalies passengers intensified this Monday, as the network maintains the alternative road service on the stretch connecting Terrassa and Manresa. This situation is caused by the risk of landslides on the embankment between the stations of Terrassa Nord and Castellbisbal and El Vilar, a section designated as a “critical point” by Adif.

"Mobility is being guaranteed."

Antonio Carmona · Renfe Spokesperson
Despite the operator's assurances, citizens express their frustration over the lack of information regarding when normal service will resume. Furthermore, the frequency of the replacement buses has generated harsh criticism, especially for inland municipalities, as the bus making intermediate stops between Terrassa and Manresa only runs every two hours.

"It’s a total Jumanji. You are afraid to take Renfe because you don't know if you will arrive or if they will leave you stranded."

Maria · Regular R4 User
The feeling of annoyance is evident. Users like Dídac Martínez state that the service was already deficient before the disruption, and with the buses, the situation is “a total disaster,” involving multiple transfers and longer travel times. Additionally, the R4 line also registers issues in the Martorell Central section, with speed limitations from the Terrassa Estació del Nord station causing further delays.
