The Terrassa Film Lab has solidified the city's position as an audiovisual benchmark during 2025, supporting 32 companies and 16 technological prototypes, according to the balance presented at the Parc Audiovisual de Catalunya (PAC).

This innovation space has strengthened Terrassa's audiovisual potential, offering over 870 hours of specialized support to local professionals and businesses. User satisfaction averaged 9.2 out of 10, with an investment of nearly 59,250 euros from the Diputació de Barcelona.

"These figures reinforce Terrassa's image as an audiovisual benchmark."

Joan Salvador · Deputy Mayor for Cultural and Audiovisual Promotion
The Film Lab aligns with the city's strategy within the UNESCO Creative Cities Network for Film. Its primary function is to transform ideas into concrete projects, uniting technology, creativity, and the business sector.
Adrián Foj, production and business development coordinator at La Cúpula Lab, one of the companies located at the PAC, highlights the synergy with the Film Lab's philosophy. His company, which develops hybrid narratives combining physical and digital environments, arrived in Terrassa last November seeking a more favorable environment for growth.

"The PAC and the Film Lab have connected us with a context that has allowed us to grow and develop projects at a pace that would be more difficult elsewhere."

Adrián Foj · Production and Business Development Coordinator at La Cúpula Lab
Foj emphasizes the advantages of Terrassa's professional ecosystem, which facilitates experimentation and dialogue about the future of the sector. He believes the city offers more agile operations compared to central Barcelona, both in terms of travel and logistics, and the ability to test projects directly at the Lab.
In addition to business support, the Film Lab also plays a significant role in talent training and acquisition. Throughout the year, 30 sessions and workshops were organized with over 140 participants, and a micro-credential in Virtual Production was launched in collaboration with the UPC School. The City Council focuses on future challenges, such as artificial intelligence, advocating for fair and accessible development that protects local talent.
