After a crowded Palm Sunday, Terrassa prepares for the central days of Holy Week, with the Cathedral of Sant Esperit as the epicenter of liturgical events presided over by Bishop Mons. Salvador Cristau.

The program begins on Holy Tuesday with the traditional Chrism Mass, which will take place at 11 AM at the Cathedral. During this ceremony, priests from across the diocese renew their priestly promises, and the holy oils and Holy Chrism are blessed, essential elements for the year's sacraments.
Holy Thursday, falling on April 2nd this year, marks the beginning of the Easter Triduum. At 7 PM, the Mass of the Lord's Supper will commemorate the institution of the Eucharist and the symbolic act of foot washing, representing service and dedication to others.
The most intense day will be Good Friday. At noon, at 12 PM, the Passion of the Lord will be celebrated. However, the main focus will shift to the evening with the Via Crucis, starting at 8 PM through the streets of the city's historic center.

This edition of the Via Crucis is particularly significant, as it commemorates 20 years since the revival of this tradition in the city. To celebrate, a notable novelty is incorporated: the procession of the Holy Burial.

This image, usually located in the Cathedral's columbarium, will be carried in procession by young parishioners, adding solemnity to the route. The week will culminate on Holy Saturday at 10 PM with the Easter Vigil, considered the most important celebration of the Christian year. In this liturgy of light and joy, four adults will receive the sacrament of baptism from the bishop, symbolizing the renewal of the Church.
