The players from Terrassa, David Bieito, Unai Agredano, and Manel Nicolas, won the gold medal with Catalonia in the cadet and infant categories at the Spanish Autonomous Selections Championship held from January 2 to 8 on the Catalan coast.

The success of the Catalan selection at the 2026 Spanish Autonomous Selections Championship (CESA) was resounding, achieving gold in the men's infant, cadet, and juvenile categories, in addition to two women's silver medals. Among the winners are the three players from Terrassa: David Bieito (cadet), and Unai Agredano and Manel Nicolas (infant), all trained at Club Handbol Terrassa and currently playing for Futbol Club Barcelona.
David Bieito was key in the victory of the cadet selection, which defeated Aragón by a forceful 39 to 21. The final was played at the Parc Dalmau municipal pavilion in Calella, where the player from Terrassa scored three goals, adding a new title at just 15 years old.

The offensive and defensive strength of the Catalan cadet selection was decisive in overcoming the resistance of Aragón in the final.

In the infant category, Unai Agredano and Manel Nicolas contributed to Catalonia's narrow victory against the Valencian Community. The match, also held at the Calella pavilion, ended with an exciting 29 to 28, decided in the last second of the competition.
