The new resource aims to offer guidance for situations of emotional distress, coexistence difficulties, relationship problems, or other social circumstances that may affect the well-being of young people. In addition to direct support, the service will provide practical tools to improve emotional management, strengthen self-esteem, and promote healthier family relationships.
Interventions will be brief, preventive, socio-educational, and community-based. Support can be individual or family-based, with a general limit of ten sessions per child, adolescent, or family, depending on the specific needs of each case.
Access to this service will require a referral and prior assessment by the municipality's Social Welfare technicians. This new resource will complement existing municipal services but will not replace the care provided by specialized mental health services.
