The march, carried out by running and cycling, will start with two simultaneous routes from Prada (in Northern Catalonia) and will conclude its 1,500-kilometer journey in L'Alguer. Its main objective is to advocate for the social use and unity of the Catalan language.
The stage passing through the Vallès Oriental region will be the third, connecting Girona with Barcelona on April 21. It is estimated that at least 70 of the total 1,500 kilometers will take place within this region.
The route will enter Vallès Oriental via the C-35 in La Batllòria and make its first significant stop at the Plaça de la Vila in Sant Celoni around noon. A manifesto reading and various cultural activities, yet to be determined, are planned there.
Subsequently, the flame will continue its path through Santa Maria and Sant Esteve de Palautordera, Vilamajor, and Llinars. The organization is considering making a small additional stop as it passes through Cardedeu before reaching Granollers.
In Granollers, the march will hold another manifesto reading and activities at the Porxada. From there, the route will follow the course of the Congost riverbed until leaving the region and arriving in Barcelona in the evening. The coordinator of the Girona-Barcelona stage, Roger Campdelacreu, expects to gather around a hundred cultural, social, and sports entities from Vallès Oriental for the organization.
