The Cànoves i Samalús City Council has launched 'Escolta Jove', a new free emotional support service aimed at young people aged 16 to 29 in the municipality.

The program, developed in collaboration with the Consell Comarcal del Vallès Oriental and the Diputació de Barcelona, aims to provide a safe and confidential space where young people can express their concerns and acquire tools to manage emotional distress. The service is provided by a professional psychology team and is offered in both individual and group formats.
'Escolta Jove' is conceived as a space for guidance, active listening, and occasional support, and does not replace clinical psychological care or aim to establish diagnoses. Its main purpose is to help young people address situations that cause uncertainty or suffering, reinforcing their personal well-being and offering coping tools.
In-person support is offered in the municipality every two Mondays, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, always by appointment. Meetings can also be held online when necessary.
No prior referral is required to access the service. Interested individuals can contact directly via phone and WhatsApp at 722 817 861 or through the Instagram profile @escoltajovevor. Access can also be facilitated through referrals from public services in the territory.
