The operation began in August 2024 after Amazon officials detected the repeated disappearance of packages in various international shipments. Accumulated losses amounted to three million euros, resulting from 65 robberies committed mainly on routes between Barcelona, Italy, and France.
The network operated with a hierarchical structure, using seemingly legal companies for logistical cover. Coordination was carried out from a company located in La Roca del Vallès (Vallès Oriental), which served as the operations center and logistical support for the criminal network.
The organization used a complex system of successive subcontracting to insert itself into the international transport chain, complicating the identification of the real administrators, some of whom resided in Romania.
The group had a parallel commercialization circuit: lower-value items were resold domestically, while higher-cost electronic products were sent abroad, where traceability was more complex. The final phase of the operation, named 'Driverso', was carried out at the end of 2025.
During the seven searches conducted, 47,000 euros in cash, luxury items, an air pistol, and stolen material valued at 30,000 euros were seized. Furthermore, the freezing of bank accounts with a balance of 400,000 euros was agreed upon. The operation is under the jurisdiction of the investigating court of Granollers and involved collaboration with EUROPOL and the Spanish Interior delegation in Romania.
