The 41st edition of the Granollers-les Franqueses-la Garriga Half Marathon has a confirmed date: January 24, 2027, with a limit of 8,000 participants across all distances.

The AE La Mitja Sports Association announced the definitive date for the renowned Vallès race after finalizing the last details with the three involved municipalities. The decision was made after overcoming a potential logistical difficulty with the Les Franqueses Town Council, which initially had reservations due to a clash with the commemorative day of the 1939 bombings.

"We had the option of January 24 or January 31. January 31 coincided with the Sant Antoni race, another iconic race in the Catalan calendar. So, we decided to move the planned date to January 24."

The chosen date, January 24, was one of two alternatives the organization considered. According to a spokesperson, this choice avoids a clash with the Sant Antoni Race, another prominent event in the Catalan calendar. Furthermore, it is considered an opportune date, as it falls right after the Christmas holidays, a time when many runners begin their training.
Regarding registrations, currently, those interested in participating in the 2027 edition can only do so through the combined bib with El Tast. This option costs 38 euros until August 31, increasing to 42 euros thereafter. El Tast, which will take place on October 31, serves as preparation for the 21 kilometers of La Mitja.
The organization plans to maintain the registration model from previous years, with a limit of 8,000 bibs covering the 21 km, 10 km, and Quart distances. The registration price will vary as 1,000, 3,000, 5,000, and 7,000 registrations are reached.
