Around sixty dancers from the Esbart Dansaire of Granollers are preparing to celebrate the twentieth edition of the Esbartiada, their annual festival. The main event will take place in the iconic Plaça de la Porxada of the Vallès city.
Among the participants, twenty belong to the Cos de Dansa, the adult group of the entity. They will be joined by ten members from the Veterans group, and the remaining half, thirty dancers, will come from the three children's groups: the Espardenyes, the Faixes, and the Barretines, ensuring the continuity of the tradition.
The festive day will begin at 13:00 with a floral offering at the monument dedicated to master dancer Josep Sala, located in the gardens named after him, near Plaça Sant Miquel. The main dance performance in Porxada will start at 18:00.
The repertoire will include prominent pieces such as La Quadrilla de Granollers, with music by composer Joaquim Serra i Corominas, performed by the Cos de Dansa. The children's groups, for their part, will dance the Corranda Endimoniada. The celebration will culminate with a fraternity dinner at the Casa de Cultura Sant Francesc.
