Shop assistant Mari Tàpia will conclude her professional career on December 31 at the Agudo Z fashion store in Granollers, following five decades dedicated to uninterrupted customer service.

Mari Tàpia began her career at just 15 years old at Confecciones Agudo, located on Carrer Corró, 56, founded by the couple Antonio Agudo and Margarita Bonet. After a year as an assistant, she became a full-time employee at the Agudo Z store, at number 21 on Carrer Santa Anna.
During this half-century, the company has passed through three generations, led first by Joan Agudo and currently by his grandson, Jordi Agudo. Mari Tàpia has always highlighted her involvement in all processes and the good atmosphere with a team of colleagues who have worked together for decades.
The shop assistant has witnessed the constant evolution of fashion and purchasing habits. She learned to advise intuitively, noting that “fashions go in cycles” and that male customers tend to be “more grateful” because they seek simplicity in dressing.

"I would continue, but I believe the cycle must close. I want to carve out time for us."

The close relationship with customers has been key, as she has dressed “the father, the grandfather, and the grandson,” fostering a relationship of friendship and trust. The decision to retire, which she matured over years, comes shortly after her husband, Joan Jaume Argilaga, also retired in March from the Aragonès winery.
