The original safe of the Les Franqueses del Vallès Town Hall has returned to the municipal building after a restoration process carried out during 2026. The piece, manufactured in 1922 by the company Arcas Soler from Barcelona, has been placed in the historic plenary hall.

The Les Franqueses del Vallès Town Hall has recovered the original safe from the municipal building, which has returned to its location after several months of restoration. This strongbox, the first used in the early years of the building to safeguard important money and documents, was manufactured in 1922 by special order and custom-made by the company Arcas Soler from Barcelona. The company, still in operation, has collaborated in the piece's recovery by providing information from its original archives.
The restoration tasks, carried out by Maria Núria Uslé Ribas, have cost €2,456.30. These tasks included round-trip transport to the workshop, biological treatment, structural disassembly and consolidation, surface cleaning, treatment of metallic elements, volumetric and chromatic reintegration, finishing, and final assembly.
The restored safe has been placed in the town hall's historic plenary hall. At the time of its commission, 104 years ago, the piece was manufactured in line with the hall's other noble furniture. The safe features a metallic, armored, and painted upper part with a wooden top cover. Its front opening system combines a 4-point combination dial and three different keys, which must be used together for opening and closing, ensuring a high level of security. This main element rests on a painted wooden base that functions as a secondary cabinet locked with a key.
