The event, which began last year, was held for the second consecutive year with the aim of dedicating a special space to individuals who have lived through nine decades of changes, experiences, and memories.
During the welcome, the councilwoman highlighted that behind 90 years lies a lifetime of experiences, joys, difficulties, and stories that deserve to be heard. She also emphasized the role of the honored individuals in building the history of Montmeló, through their daily work, families, friendships, and shared experiences over the years.
The gathering also served as a demonstration of affection and recognition from the municipality, a way to let the honored individuals know they are part of the town's collective memory and that their journey is valuable to the entire community.
As part of the event, the mayor and council members presented a commemorative medal to the honored individuals, in recognition of their 90 years of life.
The event also featured musical accompaniment by Jordi García, a student from the Montmeló Municipal Music School, who performed two guitar pieces at both the beginning and end of the gathering, adding a musical touch to this special celebration.
The mayor was responsible for closing the event, thanking the honored individuals for their presence and sharing a message also directed at their families, whom he encouraged to cherish moments like these, which allow for celebrating and preserving such special family memories.
Through this celebration, the City Council aims to keep this space for meeting and recognition alive, sharing a special moment with the honored individuals and conveying the municipality's affection and warmth.
