The new course kicks off after a registration period that has been very well received, with a total of 702 registrations distributed among the 16 workshops offered. This high participation solidifies the Center as a reference point for the elderly in the municipality.
As a significant novelty, and while renovations are underway at the Senior Center, the workshops will temporarily take place at the Can Dotras building, which will also serve as the access point for activities.
Most workshops will commence normally on Monday, October 5th. However, some specific dates should be noted: the Self-Defense workshop begins on Tuesday, October 6th; there will be no workshops on Friday, October 9th, due to a school holiday; the Senior Classroom starts on Tuesday, October 13th; and Laughter Therapy will begin on Thursday, October 29th, and Friday, October 30th.
The Department of Elderly Affairs of the Montmeló City Council continues to support a diverse and high-quality offering, aimed at responding to the different interests and needs of the elderly and contributing to the promotion of active, healthy, and participatory aging.
