Around fifty volunteers from sports associations and residents of Montornès del Vallès have collaborated in cleaning municipal facilities affected by the floods of the first weekend of October.

The Les Vernedes Municipal Sports Area and the Culture Center in Montornès del Vallès continue recovery efforts following the floods of the first weekend of October. Last Saturday, about fifty people linked to the municipality's sports associations participated in cleaning the tennis court pavement, removing accumulated mud and vegetation debris. They also cleaned the parquet floor of the multi-sport pavilion, which suffered water damage.
Additionally, over the weekend, individual residents assisted in cleaning houses in the l'Ametller neighborhood affected by intense rainfall. The Municipal Works Brigade and the La Conreria Forest Defense Group (ADF) also participated in these tasks.
A specialized company has been carrying out cleaning work at the Municipal Sports Area since last Friday. Today, Tuesday, the most intensive cleaning of the interior of the CEM and the summer pool changing rooms is expected to be completed, along with shock cleaning of the Club Karate Montornès facilities. The plan is to begin conditioning the football field and indoor pool changing rooms in the coming days.
A second specialized company has started cleaning the Culture Center building. Technical staff from the City Council have recovered heritage material, and groups like the Colla de Gegants have accessed their figures, which will only require minor repairs.
