This new office will allow businesses, shops, and self-employed individuals in Alcover to access all the services offered by the Chamber of Valls directly and conveniently, representing a significant step for local economic promotion and that of the Alt Camp region.
The inaugural event included a welcome from the mayor of Alcover, Robert Figueras, who highlighted the importance of this initiative for the municipality's economic development. Subsequently, the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Valls, Josep Maria Rovira, explained the strategic reasons for the opening, emphasizing the value of proximity and the Chamber's role as an ally in strengthening territorial competitiveness. Rovira stated that "the economic development of the Alt Camp is built municipality by municipality" and that Alcover "has a strong business and commercial fabric that deserves the same support as any other company in the province".
The new delegation will offer business support, specialized advice, and assistance for economic development, operating by appointment to avoid travel to Valls. Services include advice on business creation, business plans, financing, sustainability, internationalization, free digital diagnosis for SMEs and local businesses, training, promotion of Dual Vocational Training, employment programs, management of grants and European funds (Next Generation EU, FEDER), and business networking.
The project includes a quarterly monitoring committee to evaluate results and plan future actions in the municipality.
