The switch-on ceremony, which took place at 6:00 PM, made El Pla de Santa Maria the last municipality in the Alt Camp region to join the festive illumination, following the Christmas concert by the URV choir held last Saturday.

The event began with a carol singing performance by students from the Escola de Sant Ramon and members of the Coral Parroquial, who entertained the audience before the official lighting in the Plaça de la Vila.

This lighting ceremony kicks off an intense schedule of activities, including the traditional Tió, three performances of the nativity play Pastorets by the local group Nexus Teatre, the Parc de Nadal, and all events related to the Three Kings, from letter collection to the parade.
