The festive events begin today, Friday, April 9, with the majorales' visit to the Joan Plana school. Tomorrow's schedule, Saturday, April 10, will start at 6:00 PM with the delivery of objects to students in the plenary hall, followed by the fourth edition of the 'Puigpelletada', a confetti shower in the Plaça de la Vila. In the evening, around the Pi de Puigpelat, there will be the 'Lletonetes' by the majorales with ambient music, and the night will conclude with a dinner at the Casal Puigpelatenc.
Saturday will also host the second stage of the Camí de l'Aigua de la Mina de l'Arquebisbe Tarragona-Puigpelat, with the expected arrival at the chapel of the Mare de Déu de la Llet at 1:00 PM, where an aperitif will be offered. In the afternoon, the Plaça de la Vila will be the setting for the bestiary display, with the participation of the Cuca, the Cuquetes, and the Timbalers de Puigpelat, along with invited groups. Afterwards, the raising of pennants will take place on the balcony of the Town Hall, followed by a parade culminating in a dance in Plaça Jacint Verdaguer.
Saturday night will be highlighted by the fire run (correfoc), starting at 10:00 PM, featuring the Diables de Valls and the Diables Infantil de Valls.
Sunday, the most traditional day, will begin with the awakening of the majorales and mass in honor of the patron saint at the parish church of Santa Maria. During the Eucharist, the ribbons of the Pi and the flag of Puigpelat will be blessed, as well as the children of the town. The Moixiganga dance will be performed inside the church. Afterwards, the senior majorala and the young majorala will tie the ribbon of the Mare de Déu de la Llet to the flag from the Town Hall balcony, symbolizing protection. At the Pi de Puigpelat, the senior majorala will change the ribbon and the area will be blessed, with Muixeranga music performed by the Bufalodre group and another Moixiganga performance. The new majorala will light the small firecracker in front of the church, and a floral offering will be made.
The morning of the last day of the festival will conclude with a sardana dance and a popular aperitif in Plaça Verdaguer, courtesy of the Town Hall. The Festival will close at 6:00 PM at the Casal Puigpelatenc with the screening of audiovisuals from the Grup Excursionista del Camp de Tarragona-Puigpelat.
