Tomorrow, June 2nd, students from the Robert Gerhard Municipal School of Music will hold a concert in the cloister of Pius Hospital in Valls, specially designed for patients and their families.

Students from the Robert Gerhard Municipal School of Music will perform tomorrow, Tuesday, June 2nd at 5:30 PM, in the cloister of the Pius Hospital in Valls. The event, open to everyone, aims to offer moments of musical well-being to the center's patients and their families.
The Basic Choir of the School, directed by Mireia Besora and Shelly Agustiño, will participate, along with a band composed of Arnau Roig (drums), Joan Roig (bass), Eloi Angelats (guitar), and Hug Plana (electric guitar). They will perform various pieces prepared for the occasion.
This initiative stems from the conviction that culture and education should serve people, and that music can help make hospital stays more pleasant and complement recovery processes.
After the concert in the cloister concludes, the music will continue through the hospital's wards. Several students will move to the fourth and fifth floors to bring their performances to admitted patients who cannot leave their rooms. Om Jové and Joan Romeu (flute), Hug Plana and Daniel Garcia (acoustic guitar and voice), and Mariona Favà (viola), accompanied by Vinyet Salvat (flute), will share their talent.
This marks the first time the Robert Gerhard Municipal School of Music performs at the Pius Hospital in Valls. The proposal reinforces the idea that music can be a valuable complement in healthcare settings.
These concerts are part of the school's end-of-year program, which will culminate on June 19th with the traditional concert by the combo groups in the plaça de l'Oli, as part of the Sant Joan festivities.
