Several police forces have arrested three men aged 21, 23, and 33 this week in Valls and Pla de Santa Maria for assaulting authority figures, illegal occupation, and electricity fraud.

A joint operation involving the Mossos d'Esquadra, the Valls Local Police, the Civil Guard, the Spanish National Police, and the Labor Inspectorate has resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the issuance of numerous complaints. The two operations took place this week in Valls and Pla de Santa Maria, under the framework of Organic Law 4/2015 on the Protection of Citizen Security. The arrested individuals, aged 21, 23, and 33, face charges for assaulting law enforcement officers, illegal occupation of properties, and electricity fraud.
The first operation was deployed on Tuesday, March 24, in the Barri Antic de Valls, aiming to combat electricity fraud. During the intervention, a patrol identified three individuals who might have been committing this crime in a nearby building. Upon detecting police presence, the individuals attempted to flee but were intercepted shortly after. Their reaction was violent, throwing stones and assaulting the officers. One of the arrested, aged 23, was also apprehended for an alleged public health offense, as he was carrying 22 doses of cocaine. Furthermore, he had an outstanding request for prison entry and three pending arrest warrants.
In the same operation, two establishments in the capital of Alt Camp and another in Pla de Santa Maria were searched. The Mossos d'Esquadra issued four reports, three for possession of drugs and one for allowing their consumption. The Valls Local Police processed three inspection reports and 21 complaints for various administrative infractions. Meanwhile, the Spanish National Police summoned five individuals for irregular administrative status, and the Civil Guard imposed eight sanctions for non-compliance with labor market regulations, health measures (Law 28/2005), and tax law.
The second operation took place on Thursday, March 26, focusing on the inspection of six hairdressing and barber shops in Valls. In this action, the Mossos d'Esquadra issued three reports for possession of narcotic substances. The Local Police detected 39 administrative infractions, including the lack of licenses and insurance. The Spanish National Police summoned six individuals for immigration law violations, while the Civil Guard issued eight reports for non-compliance with the General Tax Law and anti-smuggling regulations. Finally, the Labor Inspectorate processed seven reports for labor and Social Security infractions.
