The Vila-rodona City Council has confirmed the definitive approval of its budget for the current year, amounting to 3,565,971 euros, after the public exhibition period concluded without objections.

This budget, which received initial approval in the plenary session on March 17, allocates a significant portion, specifically 1,728,514 euros, to real investments. The remainder will be used for current and financial operations for municipal functioning.
Among the most notable investments is the improvement of several streets in the old town of Vila-rodona, with an allocation of approximately 640,000 euros. Of this amount, 453,000 euros come from the Single Plan for Works and Services (PUOSC), supplemented by grants from the Diputación de Tarragona and a loan from the Catalan Institute of Finance, ensuring full funding for this key action.
Another significant investment is the creation of an interactive museum dedicated to the history of the Gaià river, with a total cost of 269,000 euros. The council has secured 235,000 euros through various grants, with the remaining amount to be covered by municipal funds.
This new space will be located on the first floor of the building that already houses the current Vila Museum. It will feature three distinct areas to disseminate the municipality's development in relation to the river. The main hall will include an interactive model with videomapping and screens to explain the geological, ecological, and human past of the locality. The other rooms will focus on history and nature, as well as the origin and evolution of the town.
